“Company” means Cube-Élmény Kft., trading as CEE OnBoard Courier brand.
“Client” means any individual or legal entity requesting courier services from the Company.
“Courier” means the individual appointed by the Company to carry out the transport of the shipment.
“Shipment” means any goods, documents, parcels, or items accepted for carriage.
“Services” means the on-board courier (hand-carry) services provided by the Company.
“Agreement” means the service contract established upon acceptance of a quotation by the Client.
The Company provides urgent on-board courier (OBC) services, where shipments are transported by a designated courier as cabin baggage or checked luggage. The service covers pick-up, transport, and delivery, subject to airline regulations, customs laws, and these Terms.
The Company does not operate as a freight forwarder or warehouse operator and does not consolidate shipments. Each shipment is handled individually and under constant human supervision.
By submitting a quote request, accepting a quotation, or confirming a booking, the Client acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Any alternative terms proposed by the Client shall not apply unless expressly agreed in writing by the Company.
The Client shall:
Provide accurate and complete shipment details, including description, value, weight, dimensions, origin, destination, and deadlines.
Ensure the shipment complies with:
Airline baggage and security regulations,
Airport and customs requirements,
Applicable national and international laws.
Provide all necessary documents, including invoices, export/import permits, customs declarations, or certificates (where required).
Declare the true value of the shipment in writing prior to acceptance.
Ensure that the shipment does not contain prohibited items, including but not limited to:
Hazardous materials (dangerous goods, explosives, radioactive or toxic substances),
Firearms, ammunition, or weapons,
Items restricted by IATA or airline policy.
Ensure a responsible recipient is available at the delivery location at the agreed delivery time.
Failure to comply with these responsibilities may release the Company from liability and may result in additional costs for which the Client remains liable.
The Company shall:
Arrange the fastest and safest possible transport in line with the agreed timeline.
Assign a professional courier to personally supervise the shipment.
Provide status updates to the Client, including: pick-up, airport check-in, boarding, arrival, and delivery.
Deliver the shipment exclusively to the designated recipient.
Provide proof of delivery (POD) by signature, written confirmation, or photographic evidence.
Comply with Hungarian and EU laws, including invoicing and VAT regulations.
The Company’s liability is limited to the declared value of the shipment, unless additional insurance is purchased.
Standard services are provided without insurance. Upon request, the Company can arrange travel and liability insurance covering loss, theft, or damage.
The Company shall not be liable for:
Indirect or consequential damages, including production loss, business interruption, or penalties,
Delays caused by events outside its control, including airline cancellations, customs interventions, strikes, natural disasters, terrorism, pandemics, or government restrictions.
Where the Client provides its own insurance, the Company shall cooperate in claims handling.
Delivery is considered completed when:
The shipment has been handed over to the designated recipient at the agreed location, or
Delivery has been attempted and refused/failed due to recipient unavailability.
The Company is not responsible for losses resulting from the recipient’s refusal or absence.
Proof of delivery (POD) will be provided to the Client electronically.
Prices are communicated through written quotation and include:
Airline ticket(s),
Courier fee (flat rate or daily rate),
Additional costs (accommodation, extra baggage, insurance, customs, local transport, etc.).
Payment terms:
For new Clients: 100% prepayment is required before departure.
For established Clients with prior successful transactions: invoices may be issued with post-payment terms, subject to written agreement.
All invoices are issued by Cube-Élmény Kft. with EU VAT (HU26768276).
Payment methods: bank transfer (preferred), or other agreed secure payment channels.
Failure to pay on time entitles the Company to withhold or delay delivery of shipments until payment is settled.
Cancellations must be made in writing.
If cancellation occurs before booking of airline tickets and expenses, no charges apply.
If cancellation occurs after tickets and expenses have been booked, the Client must reimburse all non-refundable costs.
A cancellation fee of up to 30% of the courier service fee may apply for cancellations made within 24 hours of scheduled departure.
The Company shall not be liable for non-performance or delays due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Airline delays or cancellations,
Natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics,
Strikes, lockouts, industrial disputes,
War, terrorism, civil unrest, or government restrictions.
In such cases, the Company will make reasonable efforts to complete the service at the earliest opportunity.
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary and applicable European Union regulations.
Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Budapest, Hungary.
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
The Company reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on the Company’s website. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
